Mumbai, Jan 24: Kangana Ranaut's latest film, Emergency, has sparked controversy following protests and disruptions. The biographical drama, which faced backlash during its screening in London on January 18, has become a flashpoint for debates on free speech.

Pro-Khalistan activists stormed a London theatre, halting the screening and clashing with the audience. British MP Bob Blackman raised the issue in Parliament, condemning the disruption and urging solidarity against such intimidation.

Taking to social media, Kangana criticized Indian politicians for their silence, contrasting it with Blackman's vocal support. Meanwhile, several cinemas in Punjab have withdrawn the film amidst protests, with police deployed for security.
