Mumbai, Apr 3: The renowned Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai has reported a significant revenue growth of 15% for the financial year 2024-25. During its annual budget presentation on March 31, the temple’s managing committee disclosed earnings of Rs 133 cr for the outgoing fiscal year.

For the financial year 2025-26, the temple trust has projected earnings of Rs 154 cr. According to officials, the primary sources of revenue include donations from devotees, offerings, online payments, rituals, prasad sales, and the auctioning of gold and silver.

Temple authorities noted a remarkable 32% increase in the sale of laddoos and nariyal vadi compared to the previous financial year (2023-24). On average, around 10,000 laddoos are distributed daily to devotees visiting the temple.

The temple achieved record-breaking earnings of Rs 1.33 cr from the auction of gold and silver on Gudhi Padva during the 2024-25 fiscal year, compared to Rs 75 lac during the previous year’s Gudhi Padva, according to a temple trust official.

Veena Patil, chief executive officer of the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganpati Mandir Trust, attributed the growth in revenue to administrative reforms and a noticeable rise in the number of devotees. She emphasized that the temple management ensures a significant portion of earnings is utilized for social welfare.

Around 20% of the revenue is allocated for providing medical assistance and various welfare facilities, including financial aid to patients battling 18 types of diseases and managing a dialysis centre. The trust also operates a book bank facility for college students and a study room within the trust’s premises. Additionally, the trust funds the education of children of farmers who have committed suicide.

“We ensure that offerings and donations are channelled back to society for the welfare of people,” stated Patil, highlighting the temple’s commitment towards community support and development.
