Adampur, May 13: In a fiery address to air warriors at the Indian Air Force’s Adampur base, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday issued a stark warning to Pakistan and its terror proxies: India will strike first, deep into enemy territory, and “won’t give them even a chance to escape.”
Referring to Operation Sindoor, India’s massive tri-service response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians last week, PM Modi declared a paradigm shift in India’s counter-terror policy, calling it “India’s new normal.”
“Hum ghar mein ghus kar marenge aur bachne ka ek mauka tak nahi denge,” the Prime Minister said to thunderous applause — “We will enter your home and kill, without giving you a chance to escape.”

‘Terrorism’s Cost Will Be Destruction’
The Prime Minister directly blamed Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terror outfit, for the Pahalgam massacre and celebrated India’s surgical retaliation, which reportedly wiped out nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
“The terrorists relied on the Pakistani army, but our Army, Air Force and citizens made even that Pakistani army bite the dust,” he declared.
The address also served as a rebuttal to Pakistani propaganda, particularly Islamabad’s false claims that its JF-17 fighter jets had destroyed Adampur and damaged India’s S-400 air defence system.
In response, India released a photo of PM Modi at the base, saluting soldiers with the fully operational S-400 system clearly visible, effectively dismantling the disinformation.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Pivot
Calling it the first tri-service combat operation since the 1971 war, PM Modi hailed Operation Sindoor as a demonstration of India’s military resolve and technological capability:
• Over 100 terrorists reportedly eliminated.
• Use of precision missiles and armed drones in simultaneous strikes.
• Coordinated naval and air deterrence, quelling Pakistan’s retaliatory attempts.
“Our drones, our missiles — just thinking about them will keep Pakistan sleepless for days,” the PM warned.
India’s New Terror Doctrine: Strike First
PM Modi affirmed that India’s 'Laxman Rekha' against terrorism has been redrawn. “If there is another terror attack, the reply will be massive and immediate,” he said, invoking past operations like the 2016 surgical strikes and 2019 Balakot air strikes.
“This is not just retaliation. This is a doctrine. This is deterrence through dominance,” a senior Defence Ministry official said after the speech.
A Message to the Forces — and to the Nation
The Prime Minister concluded his speech with an emotional tribute to India’s armed forces:
“Every Indian is proud of you. You’ve written history. You are the inspiration for this and the coming generations. I salute the Army, Navy, and Air Force.”
As chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” filled the hangars at Adampur, the message was unmistakable: India will no longer wait to be attacked. It will act first, with precision and power — rewriting the rules of engagement in the subcontinent.
