Los Angeles, Jun 1: Two separate fires near iconic landmarks in Los Angeles – Dodger Stadium and Crypto.com Arena – caused panic among locals on Saturday, prompting swift action from emergency services.

A brush fire erupted near the 110 Freeway and Dodger Stadium, sending up thick plumes of smoke visible from the venue. Social media videos showed a helicopter performing water drops as authorities worked to contain the flames. “Brush fire near the 110 fwy and Stadium,” Los Angeles scanner reported on X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier the same day, a blaze broke out inside Crypto.com Arena at 1111 S. Figueroa Street in downtown LA around 4:15 PM PDT. The fire, originating from a storage room, led to moderate smoke and triggered sprinklers on two floors. Firefighters quickly located the source in the ducting system between Sub Level 1 and the first floor. Water removal operations began by 4:50 PM. No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.

“There is no visible, active fire,” the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) stated, assuring that the situation was under control.

Dodger Stadium, a major baseball venue with a capacity of 56,000, remains a beloved LA landmark, while the 19,000-capacity Crypto.com Arena continues to be a cultural and sports hub, home to top teams and global concerts.
