Sudhanshu Pandey slams Apoorva Mukhija for disrespecting Ashish Vidyarthi on ‘The Traitors’

Mumbai, Jun 21: Reality show ‘The Traitors’ is making headlines beyond its dramatic plot, after actor Sudhanshu Pandey publicly slammed contestant Apoorva Mukhija, also known as the 'Rebel Kid', for allegedly speaking disrespectfully about veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi.

In a strongly worded Instagram video, Sudhanshu criticised Apoorva for casually saying ‘Ashish jayega?’ on the show. “Is he your childhood friend? Is this Gen Z behaviour? This is not cool — it’s a curse on our society,” he said, adding that even his Gen Z children show more respect to elders.

Sudhanshu, who has avoided reality shows, said such disrespectful behaviour and profanity are why he stays away from the format. “It breaks my heart,” he said, revealing that unkind remarks were made about him too behind his back on the show.

Ashish Vidyarthi responded calmly, saying the experience was just a reflection of real life. “You meet all kinds of people — some wonderful, some not so much. Some try to stand out with edgy language. That’s their choice,” he told News9Live. “Personally, I say don’t take it to heart. Without drama, there’s no story.”

The controversy has triggered a wider discussion online about generational values, respect, and the tone of reality TV.
