Influencer Apoorva Mukhija denied emergency seat, calls out Airport staff

Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai

Mumbai, Jun 23: Content creator and actress Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid and currently seen on the reality show The Traitors, shared a disturbing experience on social media involving an airline staffer who allegedly denied her an emergency seat, claiming she "looked sick."

Taking to her Instagram story, Apoorva posted a selfie and recounted the exchange. "I asked for an emergency seat, and the woman at the counter said, 'We can't give it to disabled bodies.' I was shocked! I’m fully able, at least physically, and she said, ‘You are sick,’” she wrote.

“When I asked, 'Who told you?' she responded, 'Aapki shakal dekh ke lag raha hai (it shows on your face).’ When I expressed how offensive that was, she got offended too,” Apoorva added.

This incident follows a series of challenges Apoorva has faced since her rise to fame. Earlier this year, she revealed being asked to vacate her flat after neighbours objected to frequent police visits to deliver legal notices. “They said, ‘This is why we don’t let bachelors or single women live here,’ and told me to leave after just a year,” she said on The Bombay Journey podcast by Mashable India.

The influencer has called out the insensitivity and bias she continues to face, urging greater awareness and accountability.
