Actor Rajesh Keshav on life support after cardiac arrest during Kochi event

Kochi, Aug 27: Popular Mollywood actor and presenter Rajesh Keshav is battling for his life after collapsing on stage during a live event at a hotel in Kochi on Sunday night.

According to filmmaker Prathap Jayalakshmi, Rajesh suffered a cardiac arrest towards the end of the programme. He was rushed to Lakeshore Hospital within 20 minutes, where doctors performed an emergency angioplasty.

Hospital sources said that the actor remains on ventilator support and has not regained consciousness. Doctors have expressed concerns over possible brain damage due to the condition.

In an emotional social media post, Prathap Jayalakshmi appealed to fans and well-wishers to pray for Rajesh’s recovery, recalling how the actor, known for his vibrant stage presence, now lies dependent on machines for survival.

Rajesh Keshav, who has appeared in several Malayalam films including Beautiful (2011), Hotel California (2013), Nee-Na (2015), and Thattum Purath Achuthan (2018), is admired for his screen presence and hosting abilities.
