Upcoming OTT releases in Sept 2025: Inspector Zende, Maalik, Wednesday Season 2 part 2 and more

Mumbai, Aug 29: September is all set to bring a variety of fresh content on OTT platforms with crime thrillers, supernatural dramas and romance films lined up for release.

The much-awaited Maalik starring Rajkummar Rao, Manushi Chillar and Huma Qureshi will release on Prime Video on September 5. The film revolves around Deepak, a farmer’s son who rises to power in a caste-driven society but his illegal actions lead to the murder of a police officer, setting off chaos.

On the same day, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan will premiere on Zee5. Starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, the romance drama follows a blind musician Jahaan and stage artist Saba, who meet during a train journey and develop a deep emotional connection without revealing their identities.

Netflix will stream Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 from September 3. The popular supernatural drama continues with Wednesday Addams returning to Nevermore and uncovering chilling truths that make the series darker and more intense.

The streaming giant will also release Pokémon Concierge Season 2 on September 4. The stop-motion animation continues the adventures of Haru and Psyduck with new challenges, returning characters and fresh additions.

Another big release is Inspector Zende on September 5, starring Manoj Bajpayee as real-life Mumbai police officer Madhukar Zende. The crime thriller set in the 1970s and 80s traces the manhunt for Carl Bhojraj, known as the “swimsuit killer”, and promises gripping investigation and drama.
