Mumbai, Aug 31: Five days after bringing Ganpati Bappa home, Salman Khan and his family bid an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha on Sunday with vibrant celebrations, spirited dhol beats, and heartfelt dancing. The actor shared glimpses of the visarjan on Instagram, captioned simply: “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

In the video, sisters Arpita Khan and Alvira Agnihotri can be seen carefully carrying a smaller idol of Lord Ganesha, while Aayush Sharma and others followed with the larger idol. Salman joined the farewell procession, smiling and dancing with his family, dressed casually in a T-shirt and jeans. At one point, he was seen joyfully grooving while carrying his young niece, adding a tender touch to the high-energy moment.

Earlier in the week, the actor had shared another video showcasing the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at home. The visuals captured a warm family gathering with father Salim Khan, mother Salma Khan, brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, sisters Arpita and Alvira, brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, niece Alizeh Agnihotri, and nephew Ayaan Agnihotri. Actor couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh also joined the family celebration along with their children.

The family performed the traditional aarti together, surrounding a beautifully decorated Ganpati idol. While most attendees opted for traditional Indian attire, Salman and his father and brothers kept it casual in western wear.

On the professional front, Salman Khan has returned to television screens as the host of Bigg Boss Season 19. However, the latest season has seen a lukewarm response compared to its previous editions.

This year’s Bigg Boss house features an eclectic mix of contestants, including actor Gaurav Khanna, music composer Amaal Mallik, digital stars Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar, actors Ashnoor Kaur and Mridul Tiwari, along with Kunickaa Sadanand, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Zeishan Quadri, Nehal Chudasama, Natalia Janoszek, Pranit More, Farhana Bhatt, and Neelam Giri.

Despite the mixed reactions to the show, Salman’s Ganpati celebration video has won hearts online, reminding fans of his deep-rooted family values and festive spirit.
