Farah Khan shares nostalgic throwback from early dance days in 'Jalwa'

Mumbai, Oct 9: Choreographer-turned-filmmaker-turned-vlogger Farah Khan took fans down memory lane by sharing a rare video clip from her early days in Bollywood. Posting to her Instagram Stories, Farah reshared a video from the 1987 film Jalwa, where she appears as a background dancer.

Captioning the clip, she wrote:

"Oh my god, now that's a blast from the past #Jalwa."

In the video, Farah can be seen dressed in white, dancing to the song "Feeling Hot Hot Hot"—a track that featured actress Archana Puran Singh in the lead. The clip offers a glimpse of Farah before she became one of Bollywood’s most celebrated choreographers and filmmakers.

Farah’s journey began humbly as a background dancer in the 1980s. Her big break came in 1992 with Mansoor Khan’s Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, where she choreographed the iconic song Pehla Nasha. That single track catapulted her into the spotlight, establishing her as a force in Bollywood choreography.

She went on to choreograph countless chartbusters, including:

• Ek Pal Ka Jeena
• Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai
• Songs from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and numerous other hits

In 2004, Farah transitioned to direction with Main Hoon Na, followed by the blockbuster Om Shanti Om in 2007, which launched Deepika Padukone. She later directed Tees Maar Khan and Happy New Year, further cementing her versatility in the industry.

Today, Farah has reinvented herself once again—as a digital content creator. Her YouTube channel and social media platforms feature humorous vlogs, celebrity cameos, and light-hearted cooking challenges, often alongside her charismatic house help, Dilip, who has become a fan-favourite in his own right.

From background dancer to Bollywood heavyweight to beloved vlogger, Farah Khan continues to entertain with her unique blend of talent, humour, and heart.
