Mumbai, Nov 14: Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are setting the internet ablaze with the first full trailer of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, a reimagining of one of literature’s most intoxicating love stories. The newly released clip, already trending across social platforms, has fans craving more of the film’s fiery romance and haunting visuals.

Set to Charli XCX’s new track “Chains of Love”, the trailer dives deeper than the earlier teaser, offering glimpses of Cathy (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi) from childhood to their turbulent, soul-tethered adulthood—two lovers torn apart by society, class and time.

About the film

“Inspired by the greatest love story of all time,” the trailer declares, promising a Valentine’s Day 2026 release steeped in passion, anguish and unforgettable dialogue.

Fennell’s adaptation pushes the boundaries of Emily Brontë’s classic, exploring Cathy and Heathcliff’s obsession that blurs love, lust and madness.

Fans react

Social media erupted soon after the trailer dropped.

One fan wrote, “Hate how stunning the visuals are for Wuthering Heights, but if there’s one thing Emerald Fennell has figured out, it’s great cinematography.”

Another said, “Emerald Fennell’s #WutheringHeights is going to be a scorching hot showcase for cinematographer Linus Sandgren and production designer Suzie Davis. It looks blissfully, aesthetically stunning.”

A third added, “Wuthering Heights not only looks mind-blowingly gorgeous, but it feels like a piece of romantic cinema from a better time.”

The film also features Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell in key roles.

‘Wuthering Heights’ hits theatres worldwide this Valentine’s Day, 2026.
