Mumbai, Nov 21: Actress Dipika Kakar, 39, has candidly shared her emotional struggles as she continues her fight against stage 2 liver cancer. In her latest YouTube vlog, the Sasural Simar Ka star revealed that despite her medical reports showing normal progress, she often feels “overwhelmed” by fear and anxiety.

Dipika said she broke down after meeting her oncologist, Dr Imran Shaikh.

“Everything’s normal, but I suddenly felt extremely anxious. When I first learned about my illness, I cried a lot. Through my surgery and recovery, I tried to stay strong. But today, I don’t know why, I just broke down in tears,” she shared. “Every day brings a new challenge and sometimes my heart simply can’t hold it all in.”

She admitted that while there are days filled with hope, a “lingering fear” still stays with her.

“It’s not like I feel overwhelmed all the time. There are days I believe everything is absolutely fine… But there’s still that fear in my heart,” she said.

Dipika also spoke about the physical changes she experiences — fluctuating thyroid levels, hormonal shifts, extremely dry skin, cracked hands, and discomfort in her ears, neck, and nose.

“Every day I wake up dealing with something new… These things may seem small, but facing them daily becomes exhausting,” she explained.

Despite the hardships, the actress ended with a message of resilience.

“You can either sit with the fear and let it consume you, or confront it and move forward. The only way is to keep going. So don’t give up,” Dipika said.

Dipika Kakar was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer in May and has been openly sharing her journey with her fans.
