Los Angeles, Dec 13: Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour continues to make headlines, this time for the massive bonuses distributed to her touring crew. New footage from her documentary series The End of an Era, released Friday, shows Swift personally handing out envelopes and handwritten notes to staff, dancers, band members, and production teams.
When the tour concluded in December 2024, Taylor reportedly paid out $197 million in bonuses, rewarding those who helped make the global tour a success. “Bonus day is so important, because setting a precedent with The Eras Tour is important to me,” Swift said in the documentary, emphasizing her commitment to sharing the tour’s success with her team.

The documentary shows emotional reactions from recipients. Production assistant Max Holmes exclaimed, “I’m gonna pass out,” while dancer Kameron Saunders read aloud a heartfelt note from Taylor alongside his bonus. The initiative follows earlier distributions, including over $55 million after the North American leg in August 2023, which gave truck drivers $100,000 each to help transport stage sets.
Industry observers have praised Swift’s generosity. Mike Scherkenbach, head of the transportation company on the tour, said, “She’s giving a sum of money that is life-changing for these people… That generosity is a game changer.”
