Mumbai, Mar 4: Punjabi singer Karan Aujla is currently touring India as part of his P-Pop Culture World Tour, but his recent Mumbai concert has sparked backlash from fans over alleged mismanagement.
After electrifying performances in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, the singer found himself at the centre of criticism following his March 3 show in Mumbai. While the Delhi and Pune concerts were widely appreciated, several attendees in Mumbai described the event as the “worst concert ever”.

The Mumbai event was organised as a Holi-themed daytime concert, with large crowds gathering to celebrate the festival while enjoying the performance. However, videos circulating online showed fans complaining about poor arrangements. Some alleged that sprinklers were available only in the Fan Zone and not in the VIP or General sections. Others claimed inadequate crowd control led to long queues for drinking water, with some attendees reportedly fainting due to heat and congestion.
A few fans also expressed disappointment over the stage set-up, alleging there were no large screens for better visibility and that even VIP ticket holders struggled to get a clear view of the singer. Some compared the stage to an “annual day set-up” rather than a large-scale concert production.
Responding to the backlash after his Pune performance later that evening, Aujla took to Instagram and hinted at organising another show in Mumbai. “Bombay, I think we need to add a night concert. Team Innovation, y’all coming back stronger or what???” he wrote, suggesting a possible comeback event to make amends.
However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding a second Mumbai concert.
Aujla launched the India leg of his tour on February 28 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, drawing a crowd of over 75,000 fans. The show featured his popular tracks such as Softly, Tauba Tauba, Gangsta, Boyfriend and 52 Bars. He also surprised the audience with nostalgic ’90s Bollywood hits, including O O Jaane Jaana, before concluding the night with a grand fireworks display.
Fans now await clarity on whether Mumbai will get a second — and better-managed — concert experience.
