Mumbai, Apr 2: The teaser of the upcoming film Ramayana has generated significant buzz, drawing widespread appreciation from several celebrities for its grand visuals and powerful performances.

Released on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the nearly 2.5-minute teaser offers a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor in multiple facets of Lord Rama—depicting him as a noble king, devoted son, fierce warrior, and a symbol of righteousness.

Filmmaker Karan Johar took to Instagram to praise the teaser, stating that Ranbir “embodies Lord Rama with divine reverence and piousness,” adding that his final expression in the teaser stood out as the highlight.

Director Siddharth Anand also lauded the first look, calling it “spectacular” and expressing excitement to watch the film on the big screen during Diwali.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film explores the epic tale through the lens of choices, consequences, and moral responsibility.

Sharing his experience, Ranbir Kapoor described the role as deeply humbling, saying he approached it as a learning journey rather than an attempt to represent the revered character.

The film also features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash as Ravana.

With high production values and a strong ensemble cast, ‘Ramayana’ is slated for a grand theatrical release during Diwali this year, raising expectations among audiences and industry alike.
