Abhishek Bachchan breaks silence on marriage, dismisses divorce rumours

Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 4: Actor Abhishek Bachchan has spoken candidly about his long-standing marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, addressing years of speculation and online chatter surrounding their relationship.

In a recent interview with Lilly Singh, Abhishek reflected on his personal life, family, and parenting, while also shedding light on how the couple has navigated public scrutiny over the years.

Touching upon discussions around success and gender roles in a marriage, Abhishek said such comparisons never affected their relationship. He cited the example of his parents, noting that his mother Jaya Bachchan was a bigger star than his father Amitabh Bachchan when they got married, adding that partnerships should not be defined by individual success.

“It was always about a partnership,” he said, emphasising that mutual respect has been key to his bond with Aishwarya.

The actor also recalled that he had known Aishwarya since the early days of his career, with the two working together in films like Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. He clarified that they were initially just friends and not in a relationship at the time.

Despite persistent rumours about their marriage, the couple has continued to make public appearances together and focus on raising their daughter Aaradhya.

Abhishek’s remarks come as a response to years of online speculation, offering a glimpse into the couple’s perspective on maintaining a strong relationship amid public scrutiny.
