Mumbai, May 16: Veteran actress Meenakshi Seshadri took a nostalgic walk down memory lane as she fondly recalled shooting the iconic song Lashkara with Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi.

Sharing a graceful dance reel on social media on Friday night, the actress recreated the charm of one of the most memorable songs from her career while reminiscing about the experience of filming it in the scenic hill station of Ooty.

Alongside the video, Meenakshi wrote that she had the opportunity to work with her “favourite producer” N. N. Sippy in films such as Meri Jung, Aag Se Khelenge and Aaj Ka Goonda Raaj.

Praising Chiranjeevi’s dancing skills, she described the actor as a pleasure to work with and recalled how the film featured several energetic dance numbers featuring the duo. She also described “Lashkara” as a lively folk-inspired track that was beautifully shot in Ooty.

In the video shared online, Meenakshi appeared in an elegant black outfit while dancing to the timeless track, delighting fans who remembered the song from the early 1990s.

Released in 1992, Aaj Ka Goonda Raaj was directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and produced by N. N. Sippy. Apart from Chiranjeevi and Meenakshi Seshadri, the film also featured Raj Babbar in a prominent role. The action drama revolved around a man fighting against crime and corruption.

For many Bollywood fans, Meenakshi remains one of the most celebrated actresses of the late 1980s and 1990s. She made her Hindi film debut opposite Jackie Shroff in Hero, directed by Subhash Ghai.

Over the years, she earned widespread acclaim for her performances in films like Damini, Ghayal and Jurm, where her acting and dance performances were particularly praised.

After reaching the peak of her film career, Meenakshi stepped away from the industry and later moved to the United States to focus on her personal and family life.
