Mumbai, May 23: Bollywood actress Karishma Tanna, known for her performances in films and television shows, recently celebrated her baby shower in traditional Tulu style, embracing the customs and culture of coastal Karnataka.

The actress shared videos and glimpses of the ceremony on social media, where she was seen celebrating the special occasion with her husband Varun Bangera. The couple followed Mangaluru and Tulu traditions during the ceremony, which reflected the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Karishma, who hails from Gujarat, adopted the South Indian and Tulu customs as her husband Varun Bangera is from Mangaluru. Dressed in her favourite pink saree, the actress looked radiant as she marked the occasion while expecting her first child.

Bhajans and devotional songs remained one of the highlights of the ceremony. The event also featured several sacred rituals, chants, and traditional customs associated with the Tulu community. Every small and significant ritual of the tradition was reportedly observed during the function.

Karishma and Varun, who got married on February 5, 2022, are expecting their first child after four years of marriage. Sharing her emotions online, the actress referred to the occasion as a “dream come true” and expressed heartfelt feelings while introducing themselves as “mom and dad.”
