Los Angeles, May 24: Actor-singer Nick Jonas has shared that the Disney classic The Lion King continues to bring him to tears, especially as he experiences the film again through the eyes of his young daughter.
Speaking during a panel discussion for his upcoming film Power Ballad in New York City, Jonas appeared alongside co-star Paul Rudd and director John Carney in a conversation moderated by Josh Horowitz.
When asked about music or films that make him emotional, Jonas admitted that certain scenes in Power Ballad resonate deeply with him as a father, even when he is not part of them.

He explained that themes of family and emotional storytelling strongly impact him at this stage of his life. However, he said that no matter the context, he always becomes emotional while watching The Lion King, particularly now that he experiences it alongside his four-year-old daughter, Malti.
Jonas said revisiting the film has become especially meaningful as he shares stories that shaped his own childhood with his daughter, calling it a “special experience” that connects his past and present.
He also noted that he tends to become emotional during movies, especially while travelling on flights.
Nick Jonas welcomed his daughter Malti with wife Priyanka Chopra in 2022.
In recent months, Jonas has occasionally shared glimpses of his family life on social media, while Priyanka Chopra has spoken in interviews about balancing privacy and normalcy for their daughter as she grows up, ensuring she has space to experience life away from constant public attention.
