New Delhi, May 30: Actor and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the wedding of her elder daughter Avantika Sundar.

Khushbu, along with her husband and filmmaker Sundar C, met the Prime Minister in New Delhi and personally handed over the wedding invitation. The meeting was attended by Avantika and her fiancé Shravan Sreenivasan.

Sharing photographs from the meeting on social media, Khushbu said the Prime Minister blessed the couple and thanked him for taking time out of his busy schedule.

“We had the honor of meeting the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji, in Delhi today. My husband, Mr Sundar C, and I extended an invitation to our daughter’s upcoming wedding to Mr Shravan Sreenivasan. The Prime Minister graciously blessed the couple, and we are truly grateful for his time amidst his busy schedule,” she wrote.

The post attracted congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues and political leaders.

Apart from her long career in films and television, Khushbu has remained active in politics and is currently associated with the BJP. Sundar C had also contested elections on a BJP ticket in Tamil Nadu but was unsuccessful.

On the professional front, Khushbu was last seen making a special appearance in the Tamil comedy-horror film Aranmanai 4, which she also produced under her banner Avni Cinemax. She later appeared in the Tamil romantic drama Nesippaya.

Avantika is reportedly working on two upcoming film projects, while Khushbu's younger daughter Anandita Sundar has entered film production. She is backing the Tamil film Meesaya Murukku 2, which is expected to release in theatres in the coming weeks.
