Mumbai, June 3: Bollywood star Aamir Khan and his partner Gauri Spratt are reportedly preparing to take the next step in their relationship, with reports suggesting that the couple is planning a private wedding ceremony attended by close family members and friends.
According to media reports, the couple is opting for a simple and intimate celebration rather than a grand affair. The event is expected to be held in a private setting, reflecting their preference to keep their personal lives away from the spotlight.
The reported development comes months after Aamir publicly introduced Gauri to the media on his 60th birthday and openly spoke about their relationship. The actor had previously described their bond as a serious commitment and indicated that he already felt emotionally married to her.
Sources quoted in reports claim that Aamir and Gauri have been living together for over a year and have built a stable and fulfilling life as a family. The couple is said to have chosen July 5 as the date for the ceremony, with both families expected to participate in the occasion.
Over the years, Aamir has often spoken about the importance of maintaining strong family relationships, including his cordial ties with former wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. Despite their separations, he has consistently emphasised mutual respect and continued family bonds.
Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021 after 16 years of marriage and continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. Prior to that, Aamir was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan.
Earlier this year, Aamir revealed in an interview that he and Gauri had moved in together around the time of the release of Happy Patel. While discussing marriage, he stated that their relationship was already deeply committed and that any decision to formalise it would be taken jointly when the time felt right.
On the professional front, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. He also recently produced Ek Din, featuring his son Junaid Khan alongside Sai Pallavi.
