Mumbai, Jun 8: After winning audiences with its emotionally charged love story, the second season of Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar is set to return with a darker and more intense narrative. Creator and filmmaker Shraddha Pasi says the new chapter explores the lasting impact of love, betrayal, ambition and the pursuit of power.

Moving beyond the themes of romance and heartbreak that defined the first season, the upcoming installment dives into a world shaped by revenge, political intrigue, shifting loyalties and emotional turmoil. The story follows the evolving journeys of Kuldeep and Shanvika as they confront the consequences of their past choices.

Speaking about the new season, Shraddha Pasi said the overwhelming response to the debut installment encouraged the team to expand the narrative into deeper and more complex territory.

According to the filmmaker, Season 2 examines how personal relationships are transformed when they collide with ambition, authority and unresolved emotions. She added that the new episodes promise a larger scale, heightened drama and several unexpected twists designed to keep viewers engaged throughout the story.

The series is scheduled to premiere on June 19 on JioHotstar.

Actor Dhaval Thakur returns as Kuldeep Kumar, a character burdened by regret and haunted by decisions that altered the course of his life. As he becomes entangled once again in a dangerous world of politics and influence, he must confront both his past and his lingering feelings.

Meanwhile, Sanchita Basu reprises her role as Shanvika Chauhan, who emerges stronger, more determined and willing to challenge established norms. As she navigates the complex landscape of power and relationships, Shanvika's journey takes on a far more assertive and unpredictable dimension.

First released in 2024, Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar centred on a young couple whose relationship faced intense opposition due to deep-rooted caste and class divisions. The show's portrayal of social barriers, family conflict and emotional struggle resonated strongly with viewers, helping it build a dedicated fan following.

With its focus now shifting toward revenge, political maneuvering and personal transformation, Season 2 aims to take the story into more dramatic and high-stakes territory while continuing the emotional journey of its central characters.
