Mumbai, Jun 12: Actress Sharvari has shared an emotional note on the release of her latest film, Main Vaapas Aaunga, describing it as a project that holds a special place in her heart and celebrates the enduring power of love, memories and longing.
Taking to social media on the film's release day, the actress reflected on her journey portraying Jiya, saying the story resonated with her from the moment she first read the script. According to Sharvari, the film explores emotions that transcend time, distance and generations.

"Today, a film very close to my heart is finally in theatres for audiences to experience. Main Vaapas Aaunga always carried a deeply emotional soul, whether I was reading the script for the first time or living every moment as Jiya. It is a story of love and yearning that rises above boundaries, time and memories," she wrote.
Expressing her excitement, the actress added that she feels immensely proud to be associated with the project and is eager for audiences to embark on the film's emotional journey.
Along with the note, Sharvari shared a collection of behind-the-scenes and personal photographs. The images included moments with co-star Vedang Raina, a visit to the Golden Temple, snapshots from local food outings, and a glimpse of director Imtiaz Ali at work on the film's set.
In Main Vaapas Aaunga, Sharvari essays the role of Afsana, also known as Jiya, a character central to a sweeping love story that unfolds across two timelines. Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, the film weaves together themes of separation, reunion and the enduring impact of love across generations.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina in key roles. Main Vaapas Aaunga released in cinemas on June 12.
