Chennai, Jun 20: Actor Kalidas Jayaram on Saturday announced the completion of shooting for director Ahammed Khabeer's upcoming slice-of-life drama Many Many Happy Returns, describing the experience as one of the most fulfilling phases of his career.
Sharing a heartfelt note on Instagram, Kalidas expressed gratitude to the entire cast and crew, saying the supportive atmosphere on set allowed him to deliver an honest and emotionally open performance.
“Sitting here with my director, I’m feeling a deep sense of gratitude. Playing the lead in a slice-of-life film like this has been such a wholesome experience,” he wrote.

The actor said the positive working environment was one of the film's biggest strengths.
“What made this journey truly special was the environment on set. Every day, the crew went above and beyond to create the right atmosphere for my performance, allowing me to be completely vulnerable and honest in front of the camera,” he said.
Kalidas added that it was rare to find a team that combined talent with warmth and professionalism.
“I feel fortunate to have worked with such a supportive crew and incredible co-actors who made every scene feel alive,” he wrote.
The actor also thanked members of the technical team, particularly assistant director and co-writer Jobin John Varghese for his contribution to the story.
He further acknowledged cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, music composer Govind Vasantha and editor Mahesh Bhuvanend for their work in shaping the film.
“I've truly enjoyed this process and I'm excited for the next phase. I can't wait for audiences to see what this team has created. And that's that — pack up, it's officially over,” he wrote.
Director Ahammed Khabeer also confirmed the completion of filming through a social media post.
Sharing an image that read “Wrap Up”, he described the project as deeply personal.
“This film is personal. It is the most special and memorable one I have made. Thank you to my cast and crew. Grateful,” he wrote, while also confirming that the film is slated for a 2026 release.
The upcoming drama is expected to be a slice-of-life entertainer centred on relationships and everyday experiences, although further details about the storyline are yet to be officially revealed.
