Udupi, Jun 26: The Udupi district police have issued externment orders against three habitual offenders as part of their continued crackdown on rowdyism and other unlawful activities in the district.
The externment orders were issued on June 24 by the special executive magistrate and superintendent of police, Udupi, against Mohammed Danish Madani and Karani Muhsin, both falling under the jurisdiction of Kundapur rural police station, and Ilyas, who comes under the Shirva police station limits.

Mohammed Danish Madani (23), son of Mohammed Iqbal and a resident of Hajuma Manzil, Mavinakatte, Gulvadi village in Kundapur taluk, has eight criminal cases registered against him. A rowdy sheet has also been opened against him at Kundapur rural police station.
Karani Muhsin (44), son of Karani Ameer and a resident of JM Road, Kandlur, Kavradi village in Kundapur taluk, has seven criminal cases registered against him. He too is listed as a rowdy offender at Kundapur rural police station.
Ilyas (36), son of Abubakkar and a resident of Masha Allah, Janata Colony, Chandranagar, Padur village in Kapu taluk, has 15 criminal cases registered against him. A rowdy sheet has been opened against him at Shirva police station.
According to the police, the three accused have collectively been involved in 30 criminal cases, including murder, attempt to murder, stone-pelting on police stations, house-breaking and theft, cattle theft, cattle slaughter, and assaults linked to rowdy activities.
As per the externment orders, Mohammed Danish Madani has been externed to the limits of Shikaripura town police station in Shivamogga district, Karani Muhsin to Gandhi Ganj police station limits in Bidar district, and Ilyas to Karwar town police station limits in Uttara Kannada district.
The Udupi police stated that over the past one year, stringent action has been taken against anti-social elements in the district. During this period, three persons have been detained under the PIT NDPS Act, four individuals have been booked under the Goonda Act and lodged in prison, while externment orders have been issued against 14 habitual offenders.
