Mumbai, Jul 25: Actor Salman Khan has sparked fresh speculation on social media after sharing a cryptic message alongside pictures from his late-night workout, days after expressing support for students protesting against the alleged NEET paper leak.
On Friday night, Salman posted a series of photographs on Instagram showcasing his toned physique. Wearing a towel around his head after an intense gym session, the 60-year-old actor displayed his chiselled abs in front of a gym mirror.
Accompanying the pictures, he wrote, "Salman Khan darrrrr gaya... Hmmmm... Jo darr gaya vo mar gaya" (Salman Khan got scared... The one who gets scared is as good as dead), prompting fans to speculate whether the post was aimed at his critics.
The post comes shortly after Salman voiced support for students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak. He had expressed sadness over the violence that followed a police lathi charge on demonstrators, saying the movement had begun peacefully.
Describing paper leaks as a serious issue, Salman praised students and their parents for standing together in support of a better education system.
"I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity and keenness to study hard and build a better, educated India. The students have carried out this protest peacefully. They are courageous and brave," he had written.
The actor also said the issue was a matter between students and the education system and should not be turned into a political battle. He expressed hope that the government would take appropriate steps to strengthen the country's education system.
While many social media users appreciated his support for the students, others suggested he had spoken out because he was afraid of public criticism. His latest post is widely being viewed as a response to those remarks.
On the professional front, Salman will next be seen in Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film, earlier titled Battle of Galwan, was renamed after drawing criticism over its subject. The release date is yet to be announced.
He is also set to star opposite Nayanthara in director Vamshi Paidipally's upcoming film, tentatively titled SVC63, which is currently under production and is expected to release during Eid 2027.
