Udupi: Glowinstar Integrated School celebrates India’s 80th Independence Day

Udupi, Aug 17: The Independence Day celebration was conducted with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at Glowinstar Integrated School, Udupi. The head boy, head girl, school band and the principal escorted the chief guest, Shripathi Amuji, to the stage. The master of ceremony was conducted by Mazin of class 10 who welcomed the gathering and invited the headmistress, Neethew Fernandes, to welcome and introduce the chief guest.

The headmistress warmly welcomed the chief guest well as the gathering. The programme continued with the march past by the four houses, accompanied by the school band, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, during which the chief guest hoisted the national flag. The chief guest addressed the gathering and spoke about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of valuing our freedom.

This was followed by the inspiring speech of principal, Dr T J Quadros, who spoke about the freedom fighters, India of the past and the remarkable progress of our nation today. The students of classes IV and V presented a well-coordinated Mass PT and Drill, showcasing discipline, teamwork and patriotic spirit. The celebration continued with a variety of colourful and patriotic performances, with the patriotic fiesta being conducted by Rishma of class 10

The fancy-dress competition by the LKG and UKG students was one of the most captivating highlights of the celebration and was warmly appreciated by the audience. The programme also featured patriotic speeches, dances and songs presented by students of different classes. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt patriotic vote of thanks by Dhruv of class 10. The entire programme was warmly appreciated by the audience and created an atmosphere of joy, pride, unity and love for the nation, making the Independence Day celebration a truly memorable occasion.
