When ships come with passengers, some might have already come before to Mangalore so it is better to offer them choice of different tours as they do in other countries. Some might like to see Kambla at Pilikula organised for them or classes in Mangalore cooking etc.

More and more such activity will educate our customs and immigration officers. These tourists are looking for pure joy of sight seeing and no scope for side cash! Good opportunity for the growth of local economy and local tour operaters and transporters.

Seems like M'lore is becoming one of the tourist attraction. If marketed in the best way, this can yield good revenue for the state and as well to the port. Sight seeing should also include tour to Pilikula park, whereby people can see breeding of king cobra in captivity. This is one and the only park in whole of the world reclaimed for captivity breeding.
