Srinivas University organises national conference on paediatric ‘PEDCON 2026’

Mangaluru, Oct 10: Srinivas University, Institute of Physiotherapy, organised PEDCON 2026, a one-day national level paediatric physiotherapy conference on the theme “Beyond milestones: Redefining paediatric rehabilitation in the era of innovation” on October 9, at Hotel Srinivas Saffron, Hampankatta, Mangaluru.

The conference was organised with the objective of promoting scientific knowledge, evidence-based practices, and innovative approaches in paediatric rehabilitation. It provided a platform for academicians, clinicians, researchers, and students to exchange knowledge and explore recent advancements in the field.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, trustee member, board of governors, Srinivas University, and Dr K Satyanarayan Reddy, vice-chancellor, Srinivas University.

Dr Thrishala Noronha, dean, Institute of Physiotherapy and organising chairperson, welcomed the dignitaries and gathering. Dr M Premkumar, head of the department and conference convenor, briefed the gathering on the objectives and significance of organising PEDCON 2026, highlighting the importance of advancing paediatric rehabilitation through scientific innovation and evidence-based clinical practice.

The conference featured scientific sessions and presentations focusing on contemporary developments, emerging rehabilitation strategies, and multidisciplinary approaches aimed at improving functional outcomes and quality of life among children with diverse developmental and neurological conditions.

Dr Nandakumar (PT), associate professor and conference co-convenor, proposed the vote of thanks.

PEDCON 2026 reaffirmed Srinivas University’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, clinical innovation, and research-driven advancements in paediatric physiotherapy.
