TVRs : DID L’il Masters beats Satyamev Jayate

Mumbai, June 21 (IBNS) Zee TV's dance reality show DID L’il Masters has beaten actor Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate in terms of Television Viewer Ratings (TVRs).

With Colors’ Jhalak Dikhla Ja having premiered on June 16 with an opening of 3.1 TVR, the grand reception of 5.8 TVR accorded to Zee TV’s DID L’il Masters by viewers across India remains unmatched in the reality race of Hindi GECs (General Entertainment Channels).

The show’s ratings also tower over Aamir Khan’s much-hyped Satyamev Jayate that clocked a lukewarm opening of only 3 TVR on Star Plus.

"Beating the launch day ratings of all other non-fiction launches including Sony TV’s Kaun Banega Crorepati- Season 5 (5.2 TVR), Sony TV’s  Jhalak Dikhla Ja- 4 (4.1 TVR), Just Dance (3.7 TVR) on Star Plus in the last 1 year and the current season of Color’s Jhalak Dikhla Ja has only managed 3.1 TVR, DID L’il Masters has emerged as the undisputed leader of all reality shows," said an official spokesperson on Thursday.

Ashish Golwalkar, Head- Non-Fiction Programming, Zee TV said, “It is heartening to see that  viewers still give precedence to meritorious content over the mere presence of film celebrities.

"While there is no denying that star power has its own draw, nothing can come in the way of sheer, unadulterated talent and a refreshingly simple, heart-warming presentation.”

As per Google adwords data, Dance India Dance L’il Masters, in the month of June, has had 300,000 searches and it was only behind Zee Cinema’s ‘Agneepath’ world TV premiere telecast which had 1 million times searches.

Rowdy Rathore has had 246,000 searches and Jhalak had 22,000 searches in the same period.
