Mangalore, Jun 23: Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri, State Education Minister, on Saturday June 23 said that this year the ‘Shaalegagi Naavu Neevu’ programme is mainly focused to enroll all the children to the schools and providing their right to education. In addition, it is to ensure that there are no dropouts of school chlidren till the 8th standard as to teach them the essential curriculum, moreover to completely stop child labor, he said.

He addressed the reporters at a press meet in Mangalore on Saturday, Kageri expressed his joy over the positive support received from the public for the introduction of ‘Shaalegagi Naavu Neevu’ programme last year. 

This year, it also aims to provide quality education in the government schools, thus maintaining the balance with the system of private education.

It also oversees that every government school comprises of all necessities, sanitation, stationery to the students and other facilities to cope up with the competitive expectations.

To make the best of it, he requested the public to get involved in the programme, to provide suggestions as to raise the standard of education.

He announced that ‘Shaalegagi Naavu Neevu’ (SNN) programme will be flagged off on July 5, across the state. Government representatives, ministers and officials will take part in the movement, he added.
