Mumbai, Jun 26: Indian audience may not be ready yet for experiencing different concepts and genres of films. This is a fact based on the response received from the box office results of the mega movies - ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’.

‘Teri Meri Kahaani’, with a 42 crore budget  seems to have lost a lot as it made approximately only 15 crore during the weekend.  It has got an average rating of 3 on 5.In comparison to films like ‘Ferrari ki Sawari’ and  ‘Rowdy Rathore’ which are still doing fairly well, the movie has failed to attract the audience even though it has a mega star cast of Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor.

Rated at an average of 3.5 out of 5, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ has done just alright in its first week of release. Although it has received excellent reviews from critics, economically it has not done great. Made with a budget of around Rs 16 crore, an average return of around 10 crores was gained during the first weekend.

A two - part realistic film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ is a movie that requires an open minded audience who should expect to see gruesome gang fights and human nature being portrayed in a crude manner.  On the other hand, ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ has received a good response on its music only; the three era romantic story is yet to capture the attention from the audience. Hopefully, ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ doesn’t flop just as three different zones film, ‘Dangerous Ishhq’ did.
