Aamir Khan Keeps his Word to Delhi's Female Cab Driver

Mumbai, Jun 27 (PTI): Actor Aamir Khan stood by his word as he had promised Shanno, a female cab driver and a victim of domestic violence, that whenever he visited Delhi, he would hire her vehicle, and that is exactly what he did.

On June 21, Aamir arrived in Delhi for two days to present his research on medical malpractices to the Parliament, when he hired a cab from Sakha, the agency that Shanno works with.

Incidentally, the agency, Sakha, also helps victims of domestic violence.
For the two days that Aamir was in Delhi, he made it a point to travel all around the city in Shanno’s cab.

Meenu Vadera, who runs Sakha, says, “Aamir kept his word. He used our service.”
On a recent episode of his popular TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which focused on domestic violence, Aamir had promised Shanno that whenever he visited Delhi next, he would hire her vehicle.

Dear Kavitha Das, Mumbai. How do you know he did not keep holy words to his wife? What about his wife why she did not keep her holy vows. She could have objected the divorce and fight for her marital. I think there is a big mutual understanding there. Now if both are happy in their divorced life what is bothering you. Atleast he is doing some thing good in his life so let him do his job.

Kavitha Das, Mumbai..rightly said. I watched that episode of Sathyamev Jayathay where the topic was attrocities on women. That time I just thought why the people present at the programme are not asking Amir about his first wife Reena Khan. In that case, Shah Rukh Khan is better. He has vast resepct for his wife and kids. Amir Khan is doing all this just to gain publicity and Shah Rukh Khan is getting all negative publicity due to Salman Khan and Amir Khan. Guys..you are praising Amir Khan here..do you know about his first wife? If yes, then you would not have praised him..

thats why Amir is liked by dignified and principled people. He is not just a great actor, but also a social servant. His current T.V. show is a good example for this

Unfortunately he could not keep his Holy vows to his wife. He speaks on attrocities on children, female but has forgotten his initial responsibility towards his wife. Actor after all......... Dont praise such actors who behave godly in public
