Mangalore: ABVP Urges University to File Criminal Case Against SAC

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Jul 4: “The ABVP urges Mangalore University (MU) to take a decision about filing a criminal case against the management of St Aloysius College (SAC) during the syndicate meeting, for SAC’s cheating the students of MCMS course that was begun in academic year 2008–09 without being recognized by Mangalore University,” stated the press release issued by ABVP.

The organization alleged that the students had availed education loans to pursue MCMS course and are not in a position to repay banks and financial institutions.  It sought the support of MU syndicate members, vice-chancellor, and officers in this regard.  It also urged revoking of the autonomous status of SAC.

ABVP condemns the disciplinary action taken against SAC II PUC student Bindu Madhav Tilak for being an active member of the ABVP that has openly supported Anna Hazare’s nationwide struggle against corruption recently.  Meanwhile, ABVP will continue its struggle against SAC principal and management, despite the district administration and pre-university education department not undertaking investigations over the issue, stated the ABVP press release.
