Bieber Offered Position in Hockey Team

Los Angeles, Sep 13 (IANS): US National Hockey League farm team the Bakersfield Condors has invited singer Justin Bieber to be part of their 2012-2013 season.

The team's general manager Matt Riley has contacted Bieber's manager Scooter Braun and is hopeful about his response, the eonline.com reports.

The singer has impressed head coach Matt O'Dette with his speed.

"I've scouted some video of him online skating with my hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I think he could provide some elusive speed up front for us. Plus, he's a right-handed shot, which we've been looking to add," Matt said in a statement.

"Very rarely do you see this combination of skill and toughness. We share a common Canadian heritage since we both hail from Ontario," he added.
