Big B Felicitated by Australian Government

Mumbai, Nov 22 (IANS): Amitabh Bachchan has been honoured by the Australian government for his contribution towards Indian cinema and fructifying the relations between the two countries.

"Another recognition by the Australian Government and its Commission here in Mumbai, in celebration for the 100 years of Indian Cinema, and my contribution towards fructifying the relations between the two countries...I am most humbled...," the 70-year-old posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.

Last year, Amitabh was conferred an honorary doctorate from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

He was also awarded France's highest civilian honour, the Knight of the Legion of Honour, for his exceptional career in the world of cinema and beyond.

    Sir Geoffrey-
Sitting in Hathill and wanting somebody to shed 'Light' on AB's
contribution? Someone like an AB is a Phenomenon born once in a Millenieum ! Australian Government knows it! Reaching out to Amitabh they feel is a way to 'connect' with India! Why see only his 'wig' being 'grayed' or not- Look at his accomplishments -simple! N we all know that if AB is alive today it's because of the prayers of millions of Indians after the Coolie incident!
I know Sir Geoffrey , now you will agree!

Nice to see AB's wig also being grayed. Can someone shed light on his contribution towards 'fructifying relations between two countries?'
