Saqib Visited Gurudwara to Learn Punjabi Culture

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS): Model-turned-actor Saqib Saleem visited Gurudwara to learn about Punjabi culture and language and prepare for his role in the new film "Mere Dad Ki Maruti".

The 24-year-old plays the role of Raj, a Chandigarh boy in debutant director Ashima Chibber's new film movie, produced by Y-Films, a youth wing of Yash Raj Films.

"I started hanging out with my north Indian friends again and I started going to a Gurudwara in Andheri, Mumbai, so I could sense a little Chandigarh in me. So there was this guy, who had a shop outside Gurudwara...he used to sell lockets and kadas (religious bangles)," Saqib, who hails from Delhi but lives in Mumbai, told IANS.

"I interacted with him for 10 days and tried to imbibe his body language. It wasn't difficult because I belong to north," he added.
