Agra, Jan 27 (IANS): The Taj city is all decked up for the three-day Jan 27-29 CII sponsored global summit with Vice President Hamid Ansari set to inaugurate it Sunday evening. Uttar Pradesh will showcase investment opportunities in the meet.
The inaugural session will begin with an introductory speech by Chandrajeet Bannerjee, director general of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and a welcome address by Ajay S. Chauhan of the DCM Shriram group.
After the opening remarks by Adi Godrej, chairman of Godrej group, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma will deliver a keynote address.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav too will deliver a keynote address spelling out his recent initiatives and announce policy packages to woo investors to Uttar Pradesh.
The summit venue is at the Jaypee Hotel and convention centre.
The CII in association with the ministry of commerce and industry is organising the 19th edition of The Partnership Summit 2013, for which the Uttar Pradesh is the partner state.
The theme for this year is "global partnerships for enduring growth".
