China's industrial output growth slows

Beijing, Apr 15 (IANS): China's industrial value-added output growth eased to 9.5 percent year on year in the first quarter, down 2.1 percentage points from the same period last year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Monday.

The pace was also 0.5 percentage point slower than the full-year growth registered in 2012, the NBS said in a statement on its website.

In March alone, the industrial output rose 8.9 percent year on year, decelerating 1 percentage point from the first two months of this year, reported Xinhua.

The March output in the industrial sector added only 0.66 percent from the level of February.
