Mangalore, Jan 18: Chiramith Precision (India), an export oriented unit operating from the city and involved in the productions of spare parts of the clocks has been awarded with ISO 9000:2000 certification.  The award by Perry Johnson Registrars Inc (PJR), Southfield, Michigan is accredited to UK Quality System and Indian Standards.

The award was presented by PJR lead auditor H Gopinath at a function held at Hotel Taj Manjarun here on Tuesday January 17.

Later speaking to the reporters Chiramith Precision managing director B Ramchandra said that the company has 10 years of experience in manufacturing watch screws and precision turned components. "The company has the credit of exporting watch screws to European and South East Asian countries with the total annual turnover of Rs 1.5 million USD.

Victor Bruzzo, CEO, SST Society Holding, Switzerland, KCCI president A Srinivas Rao, Chiramith partners Amit Ramchandra, Chirag Ramchandra, Jyoti Ramchandra and Canara Bank AGM Arun Kumar Nayak too were present on the occasion.
