Los Angeles, Nov 5 (IANS): Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he wants to name his firstborn after himself, reports contactmusic.com.
His girlfriend Lauren is pregnant with his child and the couple is expecting a boy.
"My number one choice is Simon because I like the name," Cowell said.
The 54-year-old also said that his second choice was Eric in honour of his late father.
Cowell is hopeful that his son follows in his footsteps by taking over his music empire, allowing him to finally retire.
"I want to teach him how to do my job as quickly as possible. I want to pass the reins over. I really would like the idea of teaching him how to run the business," he said.
