Chennai, Jul 12: Acclaimed music director and actor Vijay Antony on Saturday launched the first single ‘Chillana Sirukki’ from director Mu Maran’s much-anticipated thriller ‘Blackmail’, starring GV Prakash and Teju Ashwini in lead roles.

The romantic melody, composed by Sam C S and sung by Kapilan, features soothing vocals paired with lyrical finesse by the composer himself. The track has already begun making waves among fans for its soft, melodic vibe and charming on-screen chemistry between GV Prakash and Teju Ashwini.

Sharing the launch on his X (formerly Twitter) profile, Vijay Antony wrote:

‘Blackmail’, produced by A Deivakani and presented by Jayakodi Amalraj under the JDS Film Factory banner, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 1. The film is helmed by Mu Maran, best known for the critically praised thriller Iravukku Aayiram Kangal.

The cast includes an ensemble of talented actors such as Srikanth, Bindhu Madhavi, Linga, Thilak Ramesh, and Muthukumar, alongside GV Prakash and Teju Ashwini. The buzz around the film has been steadily growing, thanks to its gripping genre and promising cast.

The first-look poster added to the intrigue, featuring GV Prakash next to a motorcycle with a number plate reading "Money", his expression caught between anxiety and uncertainty—hinting at a high-stakes plot.

Behind the scenes, the technical crew boasts names like Gokul Benoy on cinematography, San Lokesh as editor, and Sam C S on the music score. Thilakapriya Shanmugham and Vinod Sundar serve as costume designers, while action sequences are choreographed by Rajasekhar, with Sasikumar Paramasivam handling makeup duties.

With its intriguing premise, strong technical team, and the musical charm of its first single, Blackmail is shaping up to be one of the most awaited Tamil thrillers this year.
