New Delhi, Jul 11: Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has expressed concern over the box office clash between his two upcoming big-ticket films — Dhurandhar and The Raja Saab — both slated for release on December 5, 2025.
Speaking at the teaser launch of KD – The Devil, which stars Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty, and Reeshma Nanaiah, Dutt was quizzed about the looming clash of Dhurandhar with the much-hyped Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab. Interestingly, Dutt plays key roles in both projects.
He remarked, “It’s amazing because I am playing two very different kinds of roles. In Dhurandhar, the character I play is poles apart from what I portray in The Raja Saab. Every film has its journey. But honestly, I hope the two films don’t clash — both deserve their own space.”
Dhurandhar, which has already created buzz after the release of its intense first look featuring Ranveer Singh in a dark, brooding avatar, is helmed by filmmaker Aditya Dhar. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Dutt in pivotal roles. It is being presented by Jio Studios and produced by B62 Studios.
The story reportedly delves into covert operations and the unknown heroes behind them — a genre twist that has intrigued audiences since its announcement.
Meanwhile, The Raja Saab, led by pan-India star Prabhas, is also scheduled to hit screens on the same day, setting up what could be a heavyweight showdown at the box office.
As anticipation builds, all eyes are now on whether the makers will reschedule either release to avoid cannibalising their own audience, especially with Sanjay Dutt featuring prominently in both.
With December 5 inching closer, the film fraternity and fans alike await further clarity — and hopefully, a clash-free celebration of cinema.
