Damascus, Jan 9 (IANS): At least 16 people were killed Thursday and tens of others injured when a bomb exploded in Syria's province of Hama, media reported.
The blast targeted the town of Kafat in Hama, Xinhua cited the state-run SANA news agency as saying, adding that women and children were among those killed in the blast.
The bomb exploded near a school in the town and the injured people have been transferred to the city hospitals.
The blast also caused huge property losses, SANA added.
