Mangalore, May 24:
The city will have yet another multi-national brand opening in with the entry of First Citizen Showroom, the exclusive store of Citizen Watches, the premium Japanese watch manufacturer, on Thursday May 25 at Bharath Mall, opposite KSRTC Bus Stand, Bijai, here. It will be the company's first showroom in Mangalore and the 29th in India.

This was announced at a press meet held here on Wednesday May 24. Sebastina Lukose, sales manager for India region addressed the press conference.


He said that Hideaki Nakazaki, managing director, Citizen Watches (India) Pvt Ltd, will inaugurate the showroom. 

He also added that First Citizen is Citizen's exclusive showroom, where the entire range and collections of Citizen Watches are displayed in an international ambience. The citizen Eco-Drive Collections include the Promaster Series, Perpetual Calendar, Moon Collections, Stiletto etc for men and Kareena's collection, Forever Diamonds Collection etc for ladies. It also has a wide range of Quartz watches for men and women. Apart from watches, Citizen has a stylish collection of wall clocks and table clocks.

Recently, it signed cricketer Rahul Dravid as its brand ambassador, said the release.

The Citizen Eco-Drive watches are priced from Rs 3990 to Rs 39,380 and are completely imported. The Eco-Drive Technology makes the watch run on any light. This obviates the need for a battery. No other watch in the world has this capability. Besides, Citizen Eco-Drive has looks, style, is great on features and is a recognised international brand, said the release.

Citizen is Japanese based company worth US $ 3.7 billion and has been in service since 70 years. It sells its products in over 150 countries and made its entry in India in 1998 with the revolutionary Eco-Drive light-powered watches. It has more than 250 Citizen Corners across the country.

Kevin Texeira and Kumakura were also present at the press conference.
