Indian consulate attacked in Afghanistan


Kabul, May 23 (IANS): The Indian consulate in Afghanistan was attacked Friday by unidentified gunmen who tried to enter in and later fired from neighbouring buildings, a media report said.

The incident occurred in Herat city around 3.30 a.m and the attacks continued, BBC reported.

No details of casualties have been reported yet.

The area has been surrounded by security forces.
