Mumbai, July 20: What initially seemed an extended stay in Mumbai appears to be turning into permanent residence for Karisma Kapur. According to sources, Lolo is not only concentrating on getting her film career back on track, she has apparently no plans to go back to Delhi to be with hubby Sunjay Kapur in the near future. She got daughter her Samaira — a little under two years old now — admitted to a playschool in Bandra and it looks increasingly likely that she will be continuing her education here.

“Karisma is currently scouting for good roles. She did get some offers but she made it clear that she wants to make a grand comeback rather than go for the first film that comes her way. Her concerns about Samaira have now also been taken care of — Mumbai is as good a place as any for her, right from education to everything else,” said a source.

While sister Kareena has stolen a long march over her, Karisma is keen to get back in the reckoning, preferably with a Yash Raj film. Though there is no news of any progress on that front, negotiations are apparently on with other top filmmakers as well. She’s lost oodles of weight owing to a long bout of illness she recently recovered from.

Sunjay himself is totally involved with his business and seems to have no problems with Karisma’s decision to stay on in Mumbai. He has also been spotted frequently on the party circuit in Delhi.

While both Sunjay and Karisma seem to have reached some sort of arrangement regarding their marriage, their family members are tightlipped about the matter. When contacted, Lolo’s father Randhir Kapoor simply said, “Please keep me out of this.” Karisma’s business manager Zahid claimed ignorance. “It’s a personal issue. And besides, I have no clue about what’s going on.”
