Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network – Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 27: The Prestigious ‘Guru Chaitanya Award’ for the year 2006 given by Antop Hill-based Shri Dharmapalana Yogam was presented to president of Billavar Association and chairman of Bharath Cooperative Bank Jaya C Suvarna.

MLA Jagannath Shetty presided over the function. Presenting the award to Jaya Suvarna, he said that the award is a matter of pride for the Tulu Kannadiga community.

T V Bhavadas, IAS, chief of the committee, was present on the occasion.
