Mumbai, Oct 10: Police in Mumbai used tear gas to stop street clashes between supporters of Shiv Sena and rival Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Tuesday.
A policeman and two others were rushed to hospital with injuries and the clashes disrupted traffic.

Both sides pelted stones at each other after a dispute over the display of party posters.
The Navnirman Sena is led by breakaway leader Raj Thackeray. He is said to have reached his party office to calm supporters.

A prohibitory order was imposed in Dadar and traffic was asked to divert from the area.
Police and the Rapid Action Force deployed in large numbers there have asked for more reinforcements.
Shops at Shivaji Park area adjoining Sena Bhawan shut down as a precaution.
