    this junction is dangerous for the vehicles passing from brhamagir to udupi, drivers can no see the traffic coming from mangaluru to udupi , as the road side is blocked by a tree, vehicles have to come very close to main road to view the right side traffic.

    @Iqbal,

    If i'm not mistaken, Diana hotel itself has encroached the road illegally, causing havoc on that particular stretch of road.

    They have also violated the local building laws too

    These accidents are caused due to the rash driving of the bus drivers as mentioned earlier. In addition, to this, this circle is very dangerous. Also, there are many circles in UDUPI and MANIPAL which are waiting for more such incidents. These places signal lights have been installed but are NOT operational. I dont know why the district administration is waiting to make these signal lights operational.
    One of the much more risky junction is near Manipal post office towards industrial estate. Peak hours it will be very very difficult to cross the roads even for vehicles. Every one is rushing to cross the road. Parents in bikes with school going children at the back seat, trying to cross the road during the peak hour is a common scenario. Before another event taking place, please make the signal lights operational at the earliest.

    Sad,shocking and unfortunate.
    Truth is bitter and straight forward opinion is not acceptable.
    80% of vehicles on roads simply create traffic jams and hurdles by carrying and moving less than 20% of commuters and goods.
    This worst situation on roads is merely due to ego, competition and comparison.
    We are ready to face problems but never support solutions.

    Sad to see the people die and condolences to the family. Biggest problem of our country is the road rules are not followed strictly. Secondly if there is a speed limit inside city,like western countries,many lifes can be saved.

    In our country there is no value for human life,there is no respect for law of land, there is no fear for penal codes.Just enjoy democracy and make its fun,Just kill any pedestrian and hire a normal criminal advocate and get free from any punishment.
    Totally our prosecution procedure is in coma.When there is no fear of prosecution it will directly leads to negligence and carelessness while discharging ones duty.God has to save my grate country.

    This is very shocking and sad news.It is no accident,it amounts to recklessness and murder.Hardly an traffic flows on that street and that a motorcycle rider should face such a fate.Bus drivers drive to kill,severe punishment should be meted on the driver.May the departed soul rest in peace.

    We can clearly see in the picture bus overtaking the motorcycle. Clearly bus driver's fault. I request Indian Govt to please have some rules in place to protect the unprotected road users.Really sad for MrBhat RIP.

    Yet another accident and yet another death.. may his soul rest in Peace we pray. May God give strength and courage to family to bear this loss.
    As long as authorities do not take stringent actions against these erring drivers, owners of these vehicles, nothing will change. Bigger the vehicles, rash and reckless driving will continue and smaller vehicles, pedestrians will still suffer.
    Big wigs, owners of these buses, lorries, trucks and tippers will continue with work as if nothing has happened.
